The Cobwebs in Our Lives: Lies, Concealment, and Familial Manipulation

Sometimes, just like Sarah, Peter’s sister in the film Cobweb, you might find yourself excluded. Your own parents do this to you. Sometimes your peers bully you; sometimes your own sibling manipulates you. The most dramatic events are kept from you, or you’re forced to stare directly at the terrifying monster that is the truth. Lies, concealment, and manipulation pile up one after another. The matrices intertwine. You feel bewildered. Life starts to feel like a scene from the film Cobweb.

The beginning is traumatic, and so is the end. The voices start inside the walls… but they don’t even stop inside your own mind. That is exactly what the traumatic cycle looks like.

If love were truly unconditional and selfless, we would not be slaves to these matrices. Only then could we break free from the traumatic cycles that bind us.

Do you still wish to continue being manipulated?

A dark psychological horror scene inspired by the film Cobweb. A young person stands trapped in the center of a glowing web of threads pulled by shadowy family figures emerging from cracked walls, with the haunting question at the bottom: Do you still wish to continue being manipulated?

Trapped between the walls and your own mind — where family hands pull the strings of lies, concealment, and manipulation. The traumatic cycle doesn’t end when the voices move inside your head.

If love were truly unconditional, we wouldn’t be slaves to these matrices.
